Bowers Hits For $1,000

On Tuesday October 30 th the Twisters were supplying a player to skate the pre-game flag and one to participate in the “Shoot The Puck” in between the second and third periods. Andrew Sampson was the flag bearer on this night and skated the flag proud! Once he had been introduced he then joined the Fuel players at the blue line for the national anthem.

In the second period break the Shoot The Puck game was set up. Cameron Bowers was the shooter representing the Twisters along with a season ticket holder and a celebrity shooter. Cameron went first and stood up there with confidence. His shot was strong and fast and did not slow down. It hit the $1,000.00 slot and never touched the sides. The crowd erupted into cheers and Nitro the Fuel’s mascot hugged Cameron. There were two other shooters but the crowd never seemed to calm down. As a result of Cameron hitting that spot the Indy Fuel will donate $1,000.00 to the Indy Twisters Special Hockey Team to use for equipment, ice time and tournament fees.

The Twisters could not be more proud of Cameron and want to send a special thanks to The Indy Fuel organization for this opportunity!

See you on the ice,

Steve Tofaute
